First, define "Normal." Is this a healthy weight? Chances are, no. You should have your parents schedule an appointment with your family doctor and get a full physical. Ask him/her what their opinion is and if they recommend that you lose some wieght, have them also recommend how or have them write a consult to a dietitian. When I was a kid (about three hundred years ago) every school had one fat kid. If you look around you now, you will see that every school has one skinny kid. The folks in charge had to rewrite the definition of "malnurishment." It doesn't necessarily mean that someone is starving to death, it could also be that they are eating too much or are eating the wrong stuff. The things we eat have changed a lot since I was your age and what was available has changed as well. It used to be that when you got home from school, you either had chores or you were cut loose to run and play in the neighborhood until supper. Seems those days are gone. We only got one soda every couple of weeks and it was a real treat! OK, OK, I'll shut up now. Go see your doctor and get their expert opinion.

It depends on your height. If you are over 5'6 it is normal, if you are under 5'6 it is abnormal. It also depends on how mature you are and the size of breast. I'm 14, 5'6, 36 B and I weigh 125. I think it might be a little abnormal for you to be weighing 140 at age 12, unless you are bigger than i am because with my height, cup and age i'm suppose to be between 114 and 135 i'm right in the middle so i'm right on, compare yourself to my info and you'll know.

Know if you need to lose weight

Health specialist use a measure called BMI, short for Body Mass Index. Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. This gives a good measure of your total body fat. BMI compares your height and weight. It shows if you are underweight, at a healthy weight, or overweight.

You know how many pounds are there in 1 kg. Do not know let me help you, it is 1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds. Check out what your BMI is by using the BMI calculator.

BMI Category
Below 18.5 Underweight
Between 18.5 - 24.9 Healthy Weight
Between 25 - 29.9 Overweight
Over 30 Obese

Look at the BMI chart to find out how much weight you need to lose to move from obese to overweight or from overweight into a healthy range. Knowing this can help you set a good weight loss goal.

No. You are overweight for your age. I recommend tackling the issue before you get older and cannot get a grasp on it. Start becoming active and choosing healthy foods. You may want to talk with a counselor for emotional support. this maybe out of boredom or an emotional issue. You may want to start thinking of keeping a journal of your emotions and goals. Good Luck and god bless!

Sounds a little overweight, but check with your doctor at your next checkup. But not to worry, until you reach about 17 your body will grow in different ways, sometimes sprouting up, sometimes sprouting out! It will all even out eventually, you'll see! Good luck, honey!

well, it all depends on how tall you are. but if you are around 5'3 then you are about 20 lbs overweight. but if you are really tall then that could be normal
