Apparently a number of Islamic Women have had enough. The news agency Rueters today reported that they are forming a Koran Council. They are complaining that religious law is created by men and it always favors men. They want equality (doesn't everyone?). Sounds like some worthwhile change is in the pipeline. It's about time, men have been screwing up religion for the longest time.

It's good for them. Islamic women have so many restrictions placed on them by men. So many are afraid to speak out against it for fear of being beaten. Religions have to keep up with the changing times. It's about time.

First, the male is not like the female, each one of them has own body texture,so they are not equal.
Man's brain is different from woman's brain, that what scientists discovered lately,so they are not equal.
Man controls his decisions in mental way, woman controls her decisions in emotional way,so they are not equal.
Women giving birth, having menses, men don't,so they are not equal.
So they are different from each other, physicaly and mental, then thier rights and needs should be different from each other.
But in the religious matters, they are equal in ALLAH's sight,(Their Lord answered their prayer, saying, "I do not let go to waste the labour of any worker from among you whether male or female, for all of you (human beings) are the offspring of one another.) holy Quran
Islam retains the rights of women and men which can keep them live in happiness and peace of mind.
If those women, you mentioned in your question, read the holy Quran and understand it well, they'll discover that the only law system which retains and protects women's rights is ISLAM!
There is a whole chapter in the holy Quran called "The Women",talks about women's rights like:inheritance, divorce,
expenditure,marriage..etc.
I'm a muslim woman,I live in an islamic country which considers the holy Quran and prophet Muhammad's Sunnah(way)is its law,I live as a queen,I don't exaggerate because this is the truth!
Most muslims in these days don't apply the rules of Islam and they don't understand them unfortunately,so they think that they are prejudiced!
So I really feel sorry of those women because they are trying to find something they think that it's lost, but in fact,it's in their hands but they can not see it!

Peace
