if someone were to have only "liability" ins., what are the least, and most, payments for a wreck..say..for medical bills, pain and suffering? or whatever it pays..i have full coverage, and was in a wreck, and my lawyer wants a copy of MY ins., card..why should they go into my ins., and prob., jack up my ins., for a wreck that my vehicle wasn't even involved in...and what about that law, about when you leave a bar and get in a wreck, even though it was about 50 miles down the road...

payments for a wreck, medical bills, pain and suffering etc
are determined by the limits of coverage that person carried
your attorney is wanting to look at your policy because some of your coverages extend to you if you are passenger in another car or even if you are a pedestrian!

Oh, this is too much to tackle in an answer. You have to look at your policy paperwork and see what numbers are listed next to bodily injury coverage. That tells you the maximum that can be paid for pain and suffering. Your attorney is probably checking to see if you have underinsured motorist coverage and the limit you carry on that. Since you are represented I'm going to have to tell you to ask your attorney for more information, that's what he's for, not us.

You say it's YOUR lawyer looking for this information. You could try asking him or her why they want that information. I'm sure they can give you a much better answer than I, or anyone else here that isn't connected to your situation, can.
