I was baptized as a baby in a traditional church and as an adult in a Charismatic church. Next trip to Israel, I may do it again in the Jordan. Not that I feel I need to, but just thought it would be nice and honorable to the Lord Jesus. He did it as an adult.

Being baptized is definitely required for salvation. Acts 2:38 Acts 22:16; Galations 3:26,27; 1Peter 3:21; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:1,2,3,4; Clossians 2:12; Acts 8:35,36,37,38,39 As to being born again, when we are baptized into Christ that is when we "become a new creature". The steps to salvation include Hearing God's word, Believing God's word, Repenting of our sins, Confessing before men that we believe Christ is God's son, And BEING BAPTIZED into Christ to wash away our sins and to rise to walk in newness of life, Then continue to do HIS will.

I had not done it until my daughter (now 9) was about to do it and I realized she was being taken to the water before me...
And a child shall lead them : )
The Pastor I have now is truly like my 1st Pastor, because I was not raised in church and he is the 1st Pastor I ever heard explain in detail what it means to be baptized; he used the very scripture you are speaking of to build his point.
It is truly a BEAUTIFUL experience and if i could I would show you pics of my husband being baptized in the Jordan river!!!! I cried when I saw these pictures! He went on a study trip to Israel and had a marvelous experience!

I was baptized in water about 7 years ago. I was also sprinkled as a baby, because that is what Lutherans believe is baptism. I have since changed my beliefs due the fact that the bible says to be immersed in the waters of baptism.

Baptism *is* being born again, since baptism washes away the guilt of original sin, the punishment due to personal sins, and allows God's supernatural grace to enter the soul, which gives the soul the very supernatural quality of God, entitling it to eternal life.
The person is "born again" or more correctly stated "begotten from above" because in being made like God in partaking of His nature, by baptism, that person becomes an adopted son or daughter of God.

Christened as an infant into the Catholic church, I received Christ in 1983 and was baptized at 35 years old.
Then baptized again in the Jordan by my Pastor in 1996.
(That is one cold, muddy river in the springtime!)

I was baptised when I was 13 for a Believers Baptism
I was baptised on the 1st October 2006, for freedom from past hurts, this awesome preacher followed what God said and everyone who was baptised was blessed enormously.

I did too!!!
Wonderful experience, Jesus was Baptized by John
The spirit of God came out of Heaven in the form of a dove and
sat on his head, and a voice out of Heaven said
This is My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased
You bring out the best in me.
Thank you!!!
