I have a great recipe for a maragarita ;)
2 cups crushed ice
1 oz tequila (gold is better)
1/2 oz triple sec
juice of one lime
1/8 teaspoon salt
Put everything in the blender and blend until smooth. Run lime wedge around edge of glass, dip glass edge in coarse salt. Garnish with a wedge of lime. Enjoy!

worst ones I ever had were in casinos in Vegas and were frozen for $1.

Frozen for sure. Lasts longer and you get to stir you drink while chit chatting, keeping you busy if an awkward silence happens.
