Hi! Pentecostal is a general term whereas Assembly of God is a specific denomination. All Assembly of Gods are Pentecostal in belief but not all Pentecostal believers are Assembly of God.
There are dozens, probably hundreds of churchs with Pentecostal in their name. One of the largest groups is Pentecostal Holiness Churches....Basically groups of believers hijack general names or beliefs and incorporated them into their specific church names....
There is a wide variety of practices and beliefs in even the Pentecostal churches, that is, churches that believe in basic Pentecostal doctrines like speaking in tongues, healing ,etc.

When i lived in Lowell Massachusetts. I was a member of New Horizons Assembly of God. New Horizons is a Pentecostal Church. It is formed to first and foremost, to worship and Honor God. Secondly, to provide fellowship amongst Christians that they may assemble throughout the week and share their faith in the Lord.
A pentecostal church takes it's name from a reference in the book of ACTS about the day of Pentecost. It was a wondrous time when the Church of Christ (the very first Church) had tremendous growth in believers.
The main precept of the Pentecostal Church is that we receive special abilities from the Holy Spirit. We receive one or some of the gift's of the Holy spirit, and with them come the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

They are basically the same in blief's
I think the Assembly of God is more liberal
Like they are not old main line.
In dress, more liberal

the assesmblies of god is a modern version of a church that does not follow the entire techings of christ. for example the apostles of jesus had to forsake all thier earthly possesions to follow jesus and they did not receive wages and salaries. in AOG churches they dont forsake all their belongings to serve the lord and live in big houses, drive fancy cars. all this is deception!thier pastors also receive wages and salaries unlike true apostles. the pentecostal church follows jesus word for word unlike the AOG.
the AOG church just has dancing and merry making but nothing spiritual. i know many assemblies of God people who follow the lust of this world
take my word and go to a pentecostal church and be trully blessed.!!!

I don't think they're even denominations aren't they psuedo-christians?... Asembly of God is a small cult/sect that has derived from Pentecostalism

pentacostal is into tongues and an assembly is more into scripture but im not all sure about the rest

They're the same and they are both holy. Likely they are holier than you. Ha-ha!
