what do you do when your best guy friend likes you?

i just met him this year, (freshman year), and we clicked right away. we hang out in the morning pretty much every day before school. just recently, he told some of my friends that he likes me. he hasn't told me personally yet, but it's pretty obvious he does. i do NOT like him. i just cannot see myself having a relationship or anything with him, we're totally different people and i'm just not attracted to him. i actually like one of his friends. one of my friends told him that he "makes me sick." which i never said. so now he's kind of mad at me, and he's avoiding me. i've lost a good friend, and i don't know how to get him back. help? what's the best thing i should do in this situation?

WHY DO GUYS DO THIS??? I know I shouldn't ask another question when I'm answering one, but I'm so sick of this!! Whenever I (or many of my female friends) become good friends with a guy, you only find out that he secretly likes you and ... POOF!... it's all over.

I hate to say it, but it might be over between you and your friend. You can't really be friends with one of you having more-than-friendly feelings and the other not.

I would let him know the truth...tell him you didn't say things about him to his friends and tell him that you like things the way they are as friends.Sometimes taking a relationship to the next level with one of your guy friends can turn bad anyways so it probably a good thing that you don't like him the way that he likes you.

you should try to talk to him and tell him that you think that hes a great guy but that you only see him as a friend and that you dont want things to change between you guyz give it a try and be truthful with him!!

best thing you should is leave the guy alone. why do you wanna hang with him if you don't like him? you should get a life and stop leading the poor boy on.
