Ok so here's the deal. Him and I are both in highschool. He's two years older. He is Chinese. I am white. I really like him. He's really smart [5 APs and an Honors and straight A's] but he's not a nerd at all, he has lots of friends and he breakdances. He is single. He is the VP of the biggest community service club at school, which in pretty much 200 asians. Not that I care, but me and my best friends are the only whites in it. I talk to him online daily on myspace in messages and when he seems me he says hi and waves. He borrowed a cd from me last week nad gave it back. We've known each other for more than a month now. ETC ETC. Bottom line - do I have a chance with him? Do asian guys like white girls? Please respond thanks so much.

I don't think question is important whether asian guys like white girls. I think what matters is whether this asian guy likes you. There's no reason for him not to, but you have to spend more time with him to find out if there is chemistry.

Do you really have a problem with that in Belfast? I've never heard of a Norwegian man doing that. Must be a cultural thing. Aggressive, strong women are highly prized in Scandinavian culture. Are passive women more prized in Celtic cultures? Would explain a lot since Asian women tend to be very passive from what I've seen while women from "first world" nations are growing more aggressive. *shrug* Edit: LOL! Just because they're standing in a Scandinavian country doesn't mean they're Scandinavian by birth. Remember, Poland is to Norway as Mexico is to the US. We need the Polish immigrants for the berry harvest so we don't much enforce our immigration laws (which are quite lax anyway). We'd rather just complain about them while eating our berries. (With certain notable exceptions.)

Don't listen to all those people that say this is a racist question. It seems that any time someones ethnicity is brought into the conversation all of a sudden you're a racist.
My son and I were watching a TV show about a year ago and we were discussing the different characters. He said "The black guy" and then got all choked up about it (he was only 10 at the time). I told him to fine to notice differences in people, more then appropriate. It's not alright if you decide how a person is going to be based on that physical characteristic. Noticing a persons physical traits is NOT being prejudiced.

Just ask him out. Don't make the assumption based on his race he may not be interested. I know Asian guys who date white women, I have seen Asian guys with black women. Honey go start out making friends and see where it goes from there

I wish all the girls that had a secret crush on me would me let me know how they feel. it is not a race issue. I have dated girls from different races, black, oriental, hispanic etc, and they were all sweet.

I'm asian and I just like girls. It doesn't matter to me what race they are. However try and find out what his parents think about it, because parents have a huge influence on kids, especially Asian kids.
