First, would she feel better if her mom hit the deer in the car? Hitting a dear is very dangerous and even deadly. If the population isn't controlled by hunting, they will be in an uncontrolled state of populous. We have eliminated the natural predator (wolves and coyotes) for our own safety as humans.

Second, all animals who were not created in the image of God have been given to man for his purpose of survival. Whether we use those animals for companionship, work, or food is specified in the Bible.

Third, how does she think she gets the meat in her burger? Believe me, it gets there from an animal. Chicken is the SAME thing.

Fourth, tell your friend not to JUDGE you; God didn't die and leave him in charge of judging people.

To truly appreciate beauty of any animal, you should use binoculars, not guns.

well start by telling him that hunters hunt to enjoy the out doors, to get healthyer leaner meat that is more rewarding because we harvested it. Then tell him that hunters are the worlds largest conservationist because we want to save hunting land and that hunters help in conjunction with biologist to keep animal populations in balance, i would know becasue i am a biologist. if that doesnt work tell him we give the animal the honor to kill it our self not higher someone to do it.

Well buddy, that's one argument that will never end. I'm proud of you for standing your ground and being proud of who you are. One of the beautiful things about our country is that both of you are entitled to your opinions. You don't have to convince him that he is wrong to still be his friend. There are probably many other things that the two of you have in common, so focus on those things in your friendship. The best way to show him your point of view is to show common sense and good judgment in everything you do in life. By treating hunting respectfully you can show through example all the good things that hunting can bring. Maybe he'll see it, maybe not but you'll always have that appreciation in your life and will have a better life for it.
Good luck and be safe

NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HUNTING.

hunters dont hunt all year, there are limits.
its population control.
if we did hunt animals would be everywhere spreading disease, and ticks. rabies would be a big problem, attacks on infants and little kids.

we bring a balance to nature its not just go out bang, "gots another one pa, look a baby Ill get get that one to"

there are regulations, and laws that we obey.
"God" put animals here to keep us filled.
Its natures balance, theres a cycle with hunting.
like "plant, rabbit, fox, us" if that makes sense.

it happens anyway in the wild, Lions eat zebras and what not, no one complains then.

all we did was become advance and climbed to the top of the food chain...

there are some examples.
use them

Like someone said agree to disagree with him, You could ask him to go hunting with you just so he can see for himself. If he wishes to cast judgmen apon others then he needs to know what hes talking about, Its up to you too show him its not a bad thing. You could also part company (sorry thats wrong of me). Reminds me of one of my T shirts though .. My wife says if i go hunting again she will leave me, I guess im going to miss her, lol

At this age reason will not work. Maybe he says he hates hunting because he never tried it and/or is too much a wuzzie to try it.

Agree to disagree, thats about all you can do. You won't change him and he wont change you so you just have to respect each others opinions.

I don't like hunters either. I've lived on this property for 30 years. Despite our NO HUNTING and NO TRESPASSING signs, when hunting season rolls around, those idiots STILL show up here to kill our deer. One year, they also shot one of my German Shepherds.

People who kill animals just for fun are sick. Herds only need to be culled if they are geographically isolated. Most are not. I see no excuse to get your jollies by killing.

Are you starving or something that you need to kill animals? If so, please contact a government agency for assistance.
