My wife and I would like to take an overseas cruise but right now I'm not able to obtain a passport. Just wondering if you even need one.

take Charlie's suggestion and read the info direct from the State Department......short answers is

coming in by plane yes after 1/7/2007
coming in by cruise ship yes after 1/2008

travelling by air to and from PR or the US Virign Islands..never as they are USA !

Now thats what Customs and Immigration want to see........each airline or cruise ship line may have stricter requierments so best check with them directly.....especially aboout travel after JAnuary
