Well, it is a religion. Some people say that because it has come so far from the true meaning of Christianity, a personal relationship with Jesus. A religion is something you do religiously, i.e. going to church, doing good things, praying, tithing. Christianity should be a religion, because we should do these things very often. But it shouldn't be the religion that defines Christianity itself.
As far as the athiests, they're as bad as everyone else. We've all sinned. That means that no one's perfect. Anyone can do good and bad things. The Lord's redeemed are the ones who've accepted Jesus' true gift of salvation from sin.

Because Christianity is not a religion although for legal purposes it is classified as a religion. In actual fact Chritianity is a "Relationship"
God is the Father and we are His Children through the love of Jesus Christ.
As for Atheist there are no doubt any number of Atheists who live morally better lives than some Christians. But from a scriptural point of view Atheists are not so much bad, just lost. Without Jesus there is absolutely no guarantee of Heaven.
There are others who believe if they live a "good" life or because as in the case of Islamo Fascists they commit suicide for Allah that they are guaranteed Heaven in the after life. Well, sorry to say, not so. Once again, without Jesus there are no guarantees.

I'm open-minded,I believe with all my soul without a doubt that God is real,loves me,and I CHOSE Christianity because I feel more comfortable following it than other religions that I still have very much respect for and willing to visit with a friend or family member.I do insist Christianity is a religion,but I don't agree that it's better than other religions,because all religion can't be better than others,just like you're not better than me and I'm not better than you.I've came across some Christians who stated this,but remember that we're only human and make mistakes and I'm still loyal to my friends whether they're devoted to God more than me or less.I don't consider myself religious,because God knows how many times I've missed church or read my bible!But the point is that I talk to God everyday like a father,my Heavenly Father,a relationship even though I can't see my Heavenly Father's face,I can see his unconditional love working through my life.But I don't believe in a good or bad person,we are all sinners,so I don't think my religious friend is any gooder than you,remember that God is always on your side!

Heck, why do they now insist that theirs is not a religion, then turn around and insist that atheism is! hahaha
We are "bad" because they don't like things and people that run contradictory to how they are taught or want to believe things are. Most of us are good, decent people and manage that all on our own, which some of them can't grasp so maybe it freaks them out or angers them.

In a literal sense Christianity is not a religion, in a traditional sense it is a religion. Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (the Christ in Christianity), not a religion as such. Atheists are not necessarily "bad" people. The proper attitude toward them is pity, because they do not know their Savior.

I haven't heard that Christianity is not a religion. But atheists are bad because they don't care that they are gonna go to hell.

Real Christianity is relationship - not religion. I follow Jesus, not a church denomination. Atheists I am sure are not bad - but they are sinners - they have hardened their heart against God. We as Christians should love the sinner but hate their sin. I pray you find the Truth dear one - Jesus Christ. He is so good and he can save you from your sin.

No you got that wrong --they insist that Christianity IS a religion, and it's the best religion. As far as athiests are concerned they are trolls. It says in the Bible that athiests are trolls and they should be run out of town. So there.

We love our relationship to our Lord. We look at the athiests we see, look at their values, and some are good, some are not.
