I'm in a pre-pharm program, and I'm wondering where I can look to find scholarships to help pay for private tuition. I have several loans, and am looking for any way to help reduce my total cost for college.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

You should be looking at a variety of sources to seek outside scholarship help. I know you are looking for one source but you could miss out on some scholarships that might not be listed on that particular website because they do not have a web page devoted to it. Also, it takes time once you apply for consideration for a scholarship to hear back from them.

First, check with the financial aid office and website because they list private scholarships from outside sources such as organizations and companies. Also, sometimes your major's website might list some scholarships.

Second, check with your local library for a scholarship listing book. There are scholarships out there that are not listed on the web.

Third, check with your employer or your parents's employers to see if they offer a scholarship program or help for college students.

Finally, join several free scholarship search websites because a scholarship might be listed with one website but not another. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search.

Good luck!

Here's a new online scholarship site that you could try. It's worth a shot-- quick and easy to sign up for a couple of scholarships, and you could win $10,000+ for any school program:
