Why is it that Chevy trucks have such a high resale value, even to the point that is not smart to buy a used one 2-3 years old because you can afford a new one with better financing for cheaper? I know chevy's are good trucks, it's all I drive, but they can't be "that much better". Other truck companies trucks do not resale as well, namely ford and dodge...Why is this so?

Generally, trucks regardless of brand are valued based on the number of miles left on them - how much utility is left. They are generally not subject to depreciation like passenger cars are. The exception is those trucks that have less utility work truck value and more family car value, like the half-ton short box crew cabs or the Avalanche. Those "trucks" depreciate more like cars do.

So if you want a work truck and intend on using it until it wears out, then it is better to buy new.

regrettably Nissan bombed huge time with the Titan. They have been in a hurry to compete with the Toyota Tundra and positioned a truck on the industry that had many subjects. The motor interior the Titan is infamous for going out with only around 70,000 miles. acceptance drives resale - and if clientele be attentive to that a used Nissan Titan with 40 5,000 miles might choose for a clean motor interior 2 years, they likely could purchase a distinctive make of truck.
