I have a recipe that calls for yeast and all purpose flour. Can I leave out the yeast and replace the all purpose flour with self rising? Will this work?

No, you cannot leave out the yeast. The bread will not rise as well as it does with the yeast. You can leave out the salt and use the self rising flour, however. There are active gas producing ingredients in yeast that are not present in self rising flour.

Depends on what you are making, but the taste will be the same. Self rising flour is generally used for baked goods but I use whatever flour I happen to have on hand. I make my own breads, cakes, gravies etc., and I don't worry about what flour I use. However I bake so often that I go more by the 'feel' of the dough or the 'look' of whatever it is that I am making. Go ahead and use it.

This would work, but the proportions would change. You would need both types of flour, but a certain amount of each.
