I know where you're coming from. I'm not getting married any time soon but I love looking at bridal wear. I myself want an unusual wedding dress when the time comes.
I absolutely love some of the gowns on this site. There's some very unusual and striking dresses to die for!

If you're looking more into a vintage style dress why not try this site for some ideas: http://www.vintagewedding.com/
I'd also suggest not looking exclusively for "wedding gowns" maybe try searching around for stunning "evening gowns". They tend to have more unusual colours/styles but I've seen many that would look wonderful as a wedding dress!
Good Luck!

Who says you have to wear a "wedding dress"? Wear what you want. It is YOUR day! Check out the resale shops around town! Check out the sales racks in the department stores. I've been married a couple of times and only once bought a traditional wedding dress. (And that wasn't even on the first one.) I have seen some beautiful dresses at consignment shops too. If I ever get married again, it will NOT be in a traditional wedding dress. I will find something I'm comfortable in and may even wear again. The first answer has a good idea too about the vintage wear!
Just remember, it is YOUR wedding. Wear anything you find that you will be comfortable in. Congrats and good luck!

Wear whatever makes you happy. Where does it say you have to wear a white strapless ballgown from a bridal salon? I certainly have no desire to wear anything typical and traditional when I get married.
www.uptight-clothing.co.uk and www.fairygothmother.com have some creative ideas. You could even design your own dress and have a local seamstress make it for you.

look through old books I still remember the wedding dress Margret Trudeau wore when she got married to the Prime minister of Canada it was the most simple and yes the most beautiful. also the Mennonite and Hutterite People have very simple wedding dresses but in the reality of the simplicity is the absolute beauty FYI the Mennonite and huterite are religious sects

I would suggest looking in vintage stores or on line for a vintage wedding dress. There are some REALLY neat ones from every generation available. Not to mention if you find one you really like you could always base a theme around that time period for your whole wedding :) It would make for some cool wedding pictures.

There are a lot of bridal salons which specialize in custom made gowns... check out http://www.joysbridaldesigns.com/ and look at her pictures. It might not be in your area, but she is a great person to work with and it is worth every penny she charges.

I just got engaged so I haven't bought any of these, just poking around. I don't know if these sites are reputable or not. But if you are into medieval stuff, check these out for ideas:

it relatively is not the norm, besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is now common the two. nevertheless in many circumstances it can be a white prom gown that should actually bypass as a marriage gown quite than a distinctive shade like on your link.
