Hundreds of towns, dozens of cities. There are seven cities in Ireland. I believe Scotland has five. But I'll be dammed if I know what an "official" city is or whether there are 'unofficial' cities. Maybe Lyracumpane is one of the latter.
Perth claims city status according to an irate Scottish colleague who should be inn baid this teem a neet.
