It is either in the valve cover, or located behind the intake manifold in the very back at the firewall.(the hose will come straight down from the top into it) But it does depend on engine size..........

The VERY first thing you need to learn, if you are going to work on cars is to give the Parts Specialist, the year, make, model (you did all that) AND engine size! Your car could have a 2.4 OR a 3.1. I think we can fake our way through this, however. A PCV valve will be located in the valve cover. It will slip into a rubber grommet. It will have a 1/2" OD hose connected to it OR a plastic tube. This hose will run to the intake manifold usually to the base of the throttle body. Traditionally there are NO clamps as it is vacuum and that tends to pull the hose closed.

It is located on the Valve Cover. Small about a 1 inch black rubber hose that goes to the carburetor. When you remove it and shake it, it should rattle, sounds cheap. Usually it good when it rattle. It like a check valve, you can blow from the bottom and it not blow from the top, but, it kinda dirty to be blowing on. If, it upside down it will blow either direction. I have never had one stop working just for trivia purposes and have never replaced one.
The link is a picture of a Chevy, they look much the same. Tried to find you a Ford, sorry.

I think you mean PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation valve)

They are usually installed right in the valve cover, and a hose runs back to the intake. The idea is to reburn crank case gasses to lessen polutants.

I don't know what that is or what it's for, but every single time I used to get my oil changed on my Mercury Cougar(Ford engine), they'd tell me I needed a new one.... I'm curious to see what its purpose is.
