They're not the normal aches you get when you're having diarrhoea or when you're hungry. Those feel like something's squeezing your stomach, or your stomach's burning.

I'm talking about aches that feel like your stomach's getting detached from the fat tissues that're supporting it (you know, your insides are all actually 'hanging' from these fat tissues. And note: I'm not fat or anything).

I'm asking this question because even if I don't eat before jogging and just drink (a little), the pain's still going to be there, like there's nothing I can do about it =( How can I *not* eat or drink before jogging?!?

Hey, I'm insulted! T_T I *learn* biology okay? The GI tract *is* hanging from fatty tissues. I can't name it now, but it is (who remembers those stuff, anyway?).

I mean, the membranes you mentioned are made up of fats. Okay, they're not actually hanging in the air, but they're hanging onto the membranes, which are hanging onto the abdominal cavity (if that is the correct term). Anyway, if you rip the fats away, they would be hanging in the air. Trust me, I ripped open mice loads of times ^_^

No, I *didn't* eat anything! I just drank a glass or two of water... But then again, it could've been 100 Plus... Hmmm...

Wow it is so tough to answer after a former Olympic Athlete, but your problem could be just trapped air in your system. Next time you are out on a run and this pain begin try repressed breathing. Do this by holding you lips somewhat tightly together when you exhale, much like that of a trumpet player with out the buzzing sound. This will force the air out of the pocket in your body. Now one of two things is going to happened, you will burp or you will fart, but bottom line the trapped air has to move and release the pain. Much like MH's coach the tightening of the muscles get rid of the air bubbles
Best of luck.

First of all, your organs do not hang on fatty tissue. They are connected by a strong membrane and packed in there all together, so they aren't "hanging". You should also be able to drink water before and during exercise without discomfort. If you drink too much, you'd probably just feel like puking.

About the discomfort, though, I had something similar when I ran cross country. My coach had me sick out my stomach, not by arching my back, but not holding my abs in tight. Strangely, it worked. I don't know why, but it helped.

There are many causes it could be, here are a few
because the blood is rushing away from your stomach to the large muscles needing it to perform the task.Ease the blood flow out to the working muscles rather than making a sudden demand.

could also be a sodium or potassium imbalance, try eating a banana before running
could be a bit of dehydration
or You may have some sort of digestive sensitivity to something in your diet

If you think about it, it will hurt even more than it the last time you jogged and it depends on what type of foods your eating. Are you eating sugars or are you eating veggies.

You may have had some sugars. Sugar can give you aches or cramps in your stomach when you run.
