Charles Rangel is the Representative who wants the draft reinstated.
John Kerry is the Senator who is pro-draft.

I personally believe it is a good idea.
Oh, by the way, all of you who are thinking of going to Canada if
the draft is reinstated, don't bother. After they give you the written
tests, they won't take you.

Charles Rangal, and I think it is the worst possible idea. Look, I am on active duty and have been for 18 years. No one forced my hand, and I wasn't poor and underprivileged. I can tell you that if we have to deal with a bunch of kids who don't want to be in the service, things will get back quick.
Write your representative and tell them this is a very bad idea!
