My parents are travling by plane for the holidays and they want to take some stuff but they're not sure if it's allowed on the plane or not.

Are there any official websites where I can find information about the rules and what not so I can show my parents? If so can you please post them here

FYI
They're flying to another country
The airport is: George Bush Intercontinental Airport

Definately check out the Transportation Security Administration's site below, it will have the most up to date information you need For example, when I recently traveled to Canada I knew ahead of time to put my lip gloss in a quart size zip lock bag and ready to present to screeners. This site will definately help! In addition they can go to that specific airports site as well. Be sure they get there extra early for an International flight and have thier passports.

Good luck!

www.tsa.gov is a place you'll want to visit.

Airlines do have their own policies on some dangerous goods. I know the airline I work for won't allow anything flammable (paint, spray starch, anything with a hazard label) in checked luggage but other airlines will allow it. If they are trying to bring items like that you will want to check with the airline.
