I turn the car on and it will sound fine for about 30 seconds, Then it will just die. I found a Vacuum hose that came off but I put it back on and it still does the same thing.

The car stalls whenever I hit the brakes while driving... I'm being told it might be the MAP Sensor, Does that sound like it could be the problem?

If its the map sensor,a good test to ck it would be to tap on it to see if if duplicates the condition you described.its not fool-proof but it works for some makes.also the 2 crank sensors the northstar engine utilizes can cause intermittent dieing problems like you describe,

i own a repair shop, and you may want to look for some more bad hoses loose or off on it these cars are bad for vacuum leaks on them, but there good cars ,the hoses just wont out last the car seems like,i know of one around here with at least three hundred thousand on it,and its still going like new,but i have replaced just about every rubber line on it that it has,but that's a good starting point on it ,if it was fine before ,then it has to be another hose on it ,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,and happy thanksgiving.

there is a lot of possibilities might be the battery the hose has nothing to do much with the it ... or maybe a prob with the starter contact i recommend u check it with a mechanic it wont be a long process i promise
