Maybe NASCAR should ban cheaters from the Chase (like NCAA does with tournaments).

Every single Nascar Cup Champion is a cheater. Some of them just never got caught, or if they did, you never found out about it. Cheating is not a big deal. You get caught, you get penalized, and on you go to the next race.

All the 48 fans out there think so, but I don't. I think they should suspend the drivers AND the crew chiefs for cheating. Get busted, sit out 5 races! Johnson cheated his way to the top and I hope he has nothing but bad luck all season. Oh and for those of you who think he paid his penalty, HOW? He won 2 races while Chad the Cheat was suspended. He did better with Grubb than with his regular crew chief! What price did he pay? Seriosly? I hated Dale Eartnhardt for cheating and I hate Johnson for it also! Next year the best Hendrick driver will be champ without cheating. Casey Mears will be the man to beat next year. I hope Jimmie brushes up on his cheating skills!!!!

If Nascar wants to allow cheating, I will find something else to watch on Sunday. But if they want to stop it...Make this a rule; If you are caught cheating during qualifying, practice, or the race. You go home, you get NO points from that race, and then they hand down a fine (points, cause money doesn't matter)

That would prevent any cheating.

No had they been docked the points like everyone else than that would have been fine. But when a driver gets docked for something STUPID as throwing something out a window and they get docked total 50 points plus fined and you cheat to qualify and get no points docked that is not right at all. Nascar needs to treat all the drivers the same, whether you are Jimmy Johnson or Jeff Green, a cheat is a cheat.

will everyone stop it with Jimmie cheated He doesn't deserve it Jimmie did not cheat they changed everything on the car before the race so it was fine when he ran it and by the way a lot of other NASCAR drivers did cheated

For one, Jimmy did not cheat at anything. If you're eluding to what Chad Knaus did at the beginning of the season, you must be the most gullible person in the world if you think he is the only one who does that stuff. ALL teams try to do everything they can to win. (even your precious Dale Jr. fans) Just like all other sports... (what exactly do you think a foul is anyway ... maybe they should call it cheats instead of penalties in football?)

I'm a Dale Jr. fan. I live down the road from him a piece. He's not cryin'. And I don't care whether they (#48 team) cheated or not. That's something they'll live with. NASCAR penalized them and they served it. You don't here the other teams whining so, it's not going to do us fans any good doing it either. Maybe, the rules will change next year maybe, they won't. But Johnson won, and that's that.

NASCAR does not deal with rule breakers very well, and I don't mean just this instance. It really makes me mad that he could still win the Championship after what happened, but he's not the only one who has broken the rules and gotten by with it.
