How do you make little smokies in a crockpot? I don't want to put jelly in it, that just sounds gross. Help!

Hey Now...

It is a good idea to boil the "fat" away...
A few minutes will do this...

I like to use baked beans to heat them up...
BBQ sause can be added for extra flavor.
Bacon and brown sugar too...
The pineapples sound good...
create your own mix!!!

Enjoy...

Boil them in water for a minute to remove grease; put into crockpot to heat through. If you don't like the jelly sauce, use a barbecue sauce.

Boiling them first for a bit does make sense to get rid of some of the fat from them first.

Than use some bbq sauce. Now I know the jelly sounds gross to you but really some grape jelly makes them taste wonderful. Use BBQ sauce and grape jelly for meatballs too. yummy. Give it a try. Really you don't taste it as grape jelly.

put smokies in crock pot on low of course add your favorite BBQ sauce add a can of pineapple chunks drain the juice out but save 1/2 cup of the juice and add to the BBQ sauce mix and let them cook on low for a least 2 hrs

My brother made that one year. I believe he just put a few jars of his favorite bbq sauce in the pot with the smokies.

The grape jelly isn't bad at all...we even do that with meatballs, it's not like your putting in the whole jar, just about 2 tablespoons and then cover with you favorite bbq sauce, they are yummo!

I don't even do mine in a crock-pot. I just buy my favorite bottled barbecue sauce...squeeze some in a pan and add my smokies. I simmer until heated through. I love them!
