I would be more worried about a Fundamentalist president than an Atheist one. Most Atheists operate on logic and reason. Fundamentalists are f*cking crazy.

I would vote for whoever I thought would do a better job. I don't believe the politicians who claim God now. They just do it to win the Christian vote. **shrug** Yes, if an atheist was politically for the things I find important, I would vote for him over a politician claiming Christianity but not for the things I find important. I'm so anti-republican right now it's not even funny. The political party, not the people. lol

Piggy dear,
If you believe all the values listed you are not a piggy or else I am a piggy and I will certainly vote a president from our community. Rest assured. You have my right thumb(or should it rather be right hoof?)

yes, provided I felt they were the best person for the job the religious belief system would not be a major issue as long as the person was willing to take the oath of office as every other president has done.

I wish I had a third choice for President. This is a good question though. I would have to pray on this one, find out more about the people running and hopefully make a wise decision that didn't compromise my beliefs.

atheism has nothing to do with good leadership, unless his moral values were completely un christian and he really didnt give a s*** about the people, so when it comes down to it, his values matter.
(P.S. I am an atheist and i have christian morals, just not the christian faith, so anybody who is atheist dont say anything about the unchristian statement that i made)

Absolutely.
The future of this country rests on more than religious beliefs. I can go to church if I want religious guidance... but for foreign policy, the church don't help me that much.

I don't think a person who is an atheist CAN espouse the same values as I do. Without God, without Christ - your beliefs can't mirror mine.
