Dry food is better b/c wet will set your dog up to be spoiled. In the long run dry food is healthier (less fat) and will maitain your pets teeth better. it is also important to make sure you are using a good quality pet food: Iam's, Eukanuba, Science Diet. Purina One is ok, but not Purina puppy chow. If you have a Small breed or Large breed dog make sure you get size specific food b/c it will halp them grow properly

Dry food will help keep your puppies teeth cleaner. Canned food will most likely give your puppy diarrhea. Make sure that you purchase a dry food that is especially for puppies, it has more protein in it than adult dog food. Your puppy needs the extra protein to help ensure maximum and healthy growth potential. Canned dog food is alright sometimes (once a day), but make sure it's not your puppy's main source of nourishment.

Dry food can help to keep the teeth cleaner than soft canned food - it doesn't build up on the teeth so much, lessening the chance of gum and teeth problems. However, most dogs prefer canned as it's better smelling and probably tastes better too. I'd go for a mix.

A mixture of both is best and served separately. Most answers here are good . One thing I might add though. The dry food keeps a dog from getting impacted which is a bowl problem. Dry food constitutes a more solid bowl movement.

It's not good to give them purely canned food because they need the hard crunch of dry food to keep their teeth clean, strong, and jaws healthy. Canned food can also cause loose stools in many dogs, particularly larger breeds and puppies older than 6 months old.

Dry is best for their dental growth. Some prefer to mix the two. If you choose to mix or feed moist food mostly, you will have to keep up with their dental care yourself. That means you will need to brush their teeth. Always offer plenty of water. They will need the water for proper digestion. Use a quality food. It's more expensive but will save you money in the long run when it comes to vet bills etc.

I would definatly say so. Most of the dogs that have been eating canned food have a shorter life. Plus they get addicted to it. Witch will cost you more money later on.
