I have been out of a friends with benefits relationship for 3 months now and I feel like I am just starting to get over it and think it was a good decision. I am 24 she is 35 with 3 kids. She also claims to suffer from bipolar disorder but many people at work claim she is attention seeking. With had a friends with benefits relationship for 1 year until she told me she was sleeping with other guys and I got jealous and I had more feelings for her....actually love feelings. I told her this but she said she was in love with a guy who had a girlfriend.

I have been through a period of thinking these past few months, "she was so lovely and kind". But now I am beginning to see how she hurt me and it was a dangerous situation.

The thing is I feel a bit guilty still for leaving her as I wanted to take care of her and see she was ok and we got on well as friends but feel selfish that I couldn't put the jealousy on the backburner.

Was it a good choice do you think?

My God, you could not have made a better decision! The whole thing sounds like a huge mess, and sticking around would have only brought you hurt down the road. With you being only 24 and her 35, you're both wanting and needing different things. Don't try and change your life to meet the expectations of a woman that much older (especially with kids in the picture). Live your life as a 24 year old, and find a woman with expectations that match what you can and are ready to meet.

Yes I think u were even though u claimed you were friends with benefits and you got mad at her for sleeping with other men which tectincally you said was ok by agreeing to the friends with benefits I think you made the right choose cuz she shouldn't be doing this to her kids and she is lying about herself. And ur young I'm not saying u shouldn't worry but you shouldn't get yourself all caught up in this.

Why would you want to be with someone who is in love with someone else? There are to many good women out there to waste yourself on one. Go find one of them
