Good on you for getting on with you life , first you Need to put your self in a position where a lot of people are library, cafeteria, you know. and may do some volunteer work where you have to talk to people this will help you get over you shyness, next have in you mind a few good questions, open ended so they will have to give you more than yes or no, perhaps a help me question , for example do you know where I might get a book, music, viedo, wallet. ladies scarf for my mom etc, People just love to help others . when they have given you the info. then thank them very much and ask if you might repay thim in any way, carry their books help them in a public place. Keep every thing on the level of a friendly offer not a hint of you are in this for the chance of meeting girls. You will get to know a lot of people, who will remember you and speak to you further and your in. This will take time and effort on your part but you will gain a good experience in humanrelations and best of luck

Well Im not sure if you want a guys suggestion or a girls but Im gonna give ya mine anyway. First the girl you were in love with is a total idiot for not realizing what a good guy you are. Two you cant be down on yourself you gotta get out there and meet new people. I know it sounds hard and your shy but you just got to put that foot forward and do it. You wont regret it cause that special someone is out there for you but you gotta go find her.... Best wishes to you.:)

First of the only way to forget someone you loved is to give it time. Time will heal all wounds. Now if your going to outwardly look for someone to date and your shy you have a problem. How about you start out just making friends. Look for friends in the people that are in your classes. Hang out, have fun and dont worry about looking for a girl. Soon enough the right one will come along, and believe it or not, you wont be shy around her. You will just know when the right one comes into your life. So just have fun, make friends and soon enough you wont be thinking about this girl you once loved, and you will have someone new in your life.

rather them expend your energy chasing someone who does not respond to your attention in the manner that makes you content work on using that energy to somehow meet new people go out of your way to check out the library, the theatre, a park, a dogshow whatever and look for people who seem to have a certain spark about them, hang out in the general area where they are and I will bet that they start a conversation with you, then just follow your instincts and let yourself just be you there are tons of people out there just like you who are looking for someone who is real someone to just be themselves around don't sell yourself so short life has a ton of stuff to offer those who will just stick their heads our the door once in awhile
