I have a HD ready TV in my house and lots of DVDs. I cant see myself buying all my DVDs again in HD or Blueray form. The would look better already on a HD TV (am I right?)
I will be on board when the price is right just like when DVD's came out. But consumers dont have to buy people have a choice.

Not many people jumped on board for Mini discs or betamax. They were meant to be the future too.

Not enough to replace my current TV. Not enough HD stuff to watch anyway. I'll gladly give it a few more years. I don't think I want to watch most TV shows in HD anyway. The actors had better have really good skin or we will be able to see the cover-up makeup they normally wear. Yuk!

I really don't care. I am full up on them coming up with more new $#%*! for me to buy. I have way too many DVDs.
VHS was a crap format - digibeta was better - I am fine with dvds. I just don't want anything to change too drastically or I give up. I don't have that kind of time or cash to be replacing everything. Supposedly Blueray will be backwards compatible - but they'll probably change that at some point.
It's tiresome. I just wanna watch the movie.

I won't be interested for the next ten years, by which time, hopefully, the most successful format will be dirt cheap.
Buying either now is a bad idea, because in a while one of them will become obselete (like betamax), and will cost hundreds.
The marketing men will try to convince you otherwise, of course. Don't believe a word of it.

I can't wait to see blue ray games. Instead of the 4.7gig capacity the desingers will have a 25gig capacity to play with. HD isn't up to scratch yet and is quite expensive.

i hope Sony have some luck with its blu ray technology, it would be a shame if HDDVD wins this as blu ray has double the capacity. i can see a time in the future if HDDVD wins, everyone complaining that the disc space isn't up to the job for future storage,

i don't really care. i thought dvds were already h-d enough as it is. i can't tell the difference between regular and blu ray dvds. sometimes i do watch vhs, but that's very rare! i also don't get the deal with the plasma tvs. i still have an old fashioned non-flat screen tv!
