From what i know, no you wil not get cancer from dyeing your hair. If people got cancer from dying hair, then there would be a campaign set up for awaring the public of the risks. Like there are for cigarettes.

When you dye your hair, a part of the chemo is penetrate your skin and intoxicates your organism.
This intoxication will not necessary guide you to cancer, as cancer is not the only disease which is being caused by chemicals.
Further, it depends on what color you use. Are you blond and you dye your hair with black color, or are you brunette and dye your turning them to blond? The first one is worse because black color is more a add-on for the hair. In contrary, dye your hair to blond, it rather subtracts substances from your hair than adding. But in both cases you are exposed to some quantity of chemo which finally reaches the skin etc... So, whatever you do, don't do it frequently. When chemo is inside you, it can not easy comes out.

Read the label of the hair dye!!!! There should be no know carcinogens in the dye, but the label should tell you. Technically the only information the company has to legally put on a label is the name/id of the product, and what's in it. That being said if any manufactured product has any type of hazzard, health, reactivity, flammability the company has to provide an M.S.D.S. or material safety data sheet for it. If there is something hazzardous in the dye there should be a 1-800 number on the back to call to get a sheet faxed or emailed to you. A lot of times manufactures will also put this on their websites for consumers. All of this information comes to you from a Safety Manager.

hair dyes once had lead in them to keep the color lasting, "just for men" the hair dye still has lead in it. lead can cause cancer. most hair dyes don't contain lead anymore. read the label and look for "warnings" such as may cause cancer or contains high volumes of lead.
boy, some dummies really have some ignorant answers posted for you, just consider the source.

No one knows what causes all cancers. I wouldn't be scared to live your life the way you want. You could spend twenty years not dying your hair and still end up with some type of cancer. That being said, there is an unproven study published that hints at a connection.

The possibility exists according to a 2001 report from University of Southern California School of Medicine and published by the American Cancer Society that there may be a possible link between hair dye and bladder cancer. Of course the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association disagrees with this assessment.

American Cancer Society: Study Finds Possible Link Between Hair Dye and Bladder Cancer

"Article date: 2001/02/02
Women who regularly use permanent hair dye may increase their risk of bladder cancer, according to the results of a study in the Feb. 1 issue of the International Journal of Cancer.

The study also looked at occupational exposure ? barbers and salon workers who use dyes. Though this study is the first to look at how often people are exposed to hair dye and their risk of developing bladder cancer, Manuela Gago-Dominguez, MD, PhD, of the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, says, "Unfortunately, at this moment we do not have the necessary information to make a recommendation to the public."

"In our study we have found an association between hair dye use and bladder cancer, which does not necessarily mean that hair dye use is a major cause of bladder cancer," says Gago-Dominguez

Gago-Dominguez and her colleagues compared 897 patients with bladder cancer who used hair dye, with a similar number of adults without bladder cancer. The researchers found that the women who used permanent hair dye at least once a month were twice as likely as women who did not use permanent hair dye to develop bladder cancer. These results held true whether or not the women smoked. Smoking is the greatest risk factor for bladder cancer.

Women who reported using permanent hair dye at least once a month for 15 years were three times more likely to have bladder cancer, and subjects who worked for 10 or more years as hairdressers or barbers were five times more likely to have bladder cancer compared to individuals not exposed, according to the study.

"We hope that our study can serve as an impetus to resume the lines of research that are needed for the resolution of this important public health issue," Gago-Dominguez says."

This is an old wives tale, like "your hair will fall out from to much dying" My wife's been doing it for about 50 years and she's wishes some would fall out.

Lol. You're very, very silly.

Millions, if not BILLIONS of women and men dye their hair EVERY DAY around the world. Do you turn on your television and hear on the news that millions, or billions of people every day are being diagnosed with Cancer. Not only that, but people dye their hair repetitively every month for 15, 30, 60 years of their LIFE. Are they all getting Cancer?

You're a very gullible person, aren't you. Use your common sense.
