Are you tired of hearing about Goat Cheese? YUK!!?

Goat Cheese to me tastes very gamey, I have never tried Goat Meat before but I bet it tastes a lot like the Cheese!! And what's with all the using of this cheese in recipes? It's so nasty!!

I love cheese - including goat cheese. My mother hates it - she thinks it tastes "musty," gross description, mom.

I think it's great and versatile. People seem to be getting more daring in their every day food preparations at home. This seems to be reflected on current cooking shows - that demonstrate recipes that seem slightly more ambitious and include diverse flavors and ingredients.

FoodNetwork seems really trendy right now - so it makes sense that if many people are watching that they will be more daring with food and trying things from different regions!

It's because goat milk is loaded with medium chain fatty acids. Cow's milk has long chain fatty acids. Medium chain fatty acids are easily attacked by cheese bacteria, and easily seperated from the glycerol in fat, this contributes to the tangy taste and odor of goat cheese.

It's definitely an acquired taste. I like small amounts of goat cheese on pizza or in couscous casseroles.

well i suppose black cavior would be out of the question then?
goat cheese and cavior are very good together, it makes it all go down like a salty country butter on unleaven crackers.
i thought it was very good,but prefer the cavior alone with the crackers, oh the russian type of course

I hate goat cheese. I think it tastes similar to what I would imagine cat pee would taste like! (And no, I haven't tasted cat pee)

I like it- it's salty and creamy. Sheep cheese even better! Baahhh
