Same old, same old here as any other day of the week cos we don't celebrate it here in the UK.

Here we have Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potratos, Corn, Green beans with a cream sauce, gravy, fresh bread, fruit salad, apple pie, and pumpkin pie, with devilled eggs, shrimp puffs and clams casino as appetizers.
For love2travel, go ahead and HAVE thanksgiving! A great meal with family and friends doesn't need a holiday. Just a huge grocery budget, hours and hours to cook and someone ELSE to do the dishes afterwards! :D

A severe case of jealousy. ;-) Thanksgiving is in October in Canada and we were in Portugal at the time. We love turkey and all the trimmings. If I were cooking for the holiday: candied sweet potatoes, salad with pecans and mandarin orange sections, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, great stuffing and peacan ice cream pie for dessert (at the very least).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Lady D: I know the downside. Hope everyone pitches in to help so you can enjoy the day too. http://www.thetravelzine.com

It's the same pretty much every year... scalloped corn, green bean casserole, sage stuffing (homemade of course), cranberry jelly (homemade), rolls, candied yams, fruit salad, pea salad, pumpkin pie w/ whipped cream and the Turkey of course... YUM! I can't wait!
