I think you are talking about the recent news about the European Court of Justice that may rule that you pay duty only once, in the country that sells the wine.

That is the current position of EU law, but national governments, such as the UK and Netherlands levy tax on these products being brought into the country,

The European Court of Justice is due to announce its ruling on 23 November. If they rule against the government's actions then it would imply that we can import by mail order, paying (e.g.) just minimal French wine tax.

But there are billions of tax revenue at stake -- its hard to see the governments will give up this tax without a fight.

Be interesting.

Personally I dont think we'll be that lucky.

Yeah sumtime soon, it was on the news n ****, personally, i cant wait, i dont smoke, but i drink, and its gonna be ALOT cheaper. =D
