OK, I want to breed my 2 year old Puggle (Lila) with my 5 year old Great Dane (Henry). I also want to breed my 1 year old Yorkipoo (Jessica) with my beautiful chocolate Labrador (Ziggy) who is 9 months old. I really want to do it because it will be fun and I am 24 with a 7 year old daughter (Katya) so I think it will be fun for her to watch my babies (Lila and Jessica) give birth.
I have never bred things before (except my pet mice when I was 9) but that was by accident - I didn't know girl mice could have babies until 4 years old.
How do I go about breeding my Yorkipoo (1 yr) with my Lab (9 mths) and my Great Dane (5 yr) and my Puggle (2 yr)?
I need TIPS, ADVICE (pref. good but will listen to all) and HELP (LOTS OF HELP PLEASE!).
I want to create two new breeds of dogs. I think it could be fun picking names.
Puggle (Pug x Beagle) x Great Dane = Great Duggle OR Gupple Puggie.
Yorkipoo (Poodle x Yorki) x Labrador = Yorkipoo Retriever OR Yorkipooador.
How much do I sell pups 4

TLC - How much time do i have to socialise the puppies for? I DO have a life. So does my daughter. Boyfriend already at 7 lol.. shes growing up fast. She and I go out a lot so i cant always b home with them because they want food or watever lol.
Stuff - wat do i need ready for them? am lousy at building pens or wateva u need .. wish i had my hubby still (RIP Steve Nathan P. died of cancer in 05)
Price - HOW MUCH DO I SELL EACH PUP FOR??? I need the money from the dogs. I want to sell each for around $500 per pup from ea. litter. i want to take Katya on a holiday to Fiji next March 07.

seriously people, its not as if im not responsible!!! I'm 24 years old with a beautiful, healthy, happy 7 year old daughter. I have two jobs which i have had running for a while now (supermarket job since i was 17 and retirement job since i was 21).
i kno dogs are hard 2 look after. HELLOOOO I have 4 of them AND a daughter!!!
It wont be ahard to find homes... i have 3 friends (Melinda, Kirsten and Bec & Paul) who are willing to take a puppy each. so yeah, already have a waiting list =D
i live in a big apartment so i can keep the dogs there until thay r ld enough to go to new homes.
sure i can afford things like vacc. and worm stuff. i'm not POOR im just not well off lol
dont tell me Lila and Jessica will DIE because i know they r strong and they wont. Lila had a "Fatty Abcess" or something on her neck 5 months ago and she got through that - that proves she is strong willed and wants to live.
Katya knows that we cant keep the pups so we wont get atached. i will keep 1 F pup

Note to puppygirl: i bought Ziggy (Lab) from a breeder who was professional and had there labs screaned for hip and elbow diplasia and had them heart checked so they told me Ziggy would be perfectly healthy when he is older.
i wouldnt have bought him if they didnt have propper dogs for sale. i am not smart but im not dumb. i know thing about yorkipoos and puggles and great danes and labradors so there isnt much else i need to do but figure out how to do everthing right.
i dont want to have to pay for a c section because that will leave me out of a bit of money lol.
if i cant breed my Yorkipoo with my Labrador, i will breed my Yorkipoo with my friends (Melinda) 6 year old Bichon Frise x Jack Russell (Jack Freeze) with my Yorkipoo.
My friends have agreed to pay a fair bit of money for these rare-breed puppies that i am gonna let my babies produce.
$375 for male Puggle x GD and $400 for female
$510 for male YP x Lab and $515 for female.

HMMM...I didn't call you a teenage ****, but now that I know about your underage drinking I might. Or was it a pepsi that was drugged?
A. Well sure u didnt but u mite as well have. hardly underage drinking. i was turning 18 in 2 days. my COKE was spiked. i wont say i didnt have alcohol. i had ONE shot of tequila.
I question your judgement because you think it is cute that a 7 year old has a boyfriend. I hope noone spikes her juice at Chuckie Cheese.
A. yeah coz it is cute! theyve even told each other they r going to marry each other when they are 20. how can u say that that isnt cute or Sweet? My daughter deserves the best man in the world. She probably wont get that because her mom wasn't raised in the best household and her childhood was terrible and i wish Katya didn't have 2 grow up in that house with my mom and dad.

I will do everything in my power 2 get tha 4 my babii. im not struggling. im not begging for food on the streets or wearing tattered clothing. we are doing fine.
If you had your wish would you wish that she can go to and graduate from college and get a good paying job?
Or would you wish she had a life just like yours, working two jobs and pimping out her dogs for extra cash? '
A. she is going to graduate and go to collage. I work 2 jobs BECAUSE I WANT TO!!!!! the extra money is great but ive always wanted to be a docter and this is as close as i will eva get to being a docter. working with old people and helping them out in their last few years of life. its rewarding and has teached me alot.

Well, it has to be done on St. Valentines Day..Get ready for a big celebration..Serve both males oysters on the shell, and play their favorite music, "Who let the dogs out" ...Then give them all 4 a nice bath in the jacuzzi..Once they have dired, and the girls have painted their nails, light candles, and give them 2 hours of privacy..by morning, you should have puppies on the way...if you don't have pups in about 63 days, try it again on the next Valentine's Day..
best of luck to you!

UHm....... O_o...
I'm quite shocked that someone would ask this. If you're actually serious, think about your responsibility as an adult to show your child how to take care of animals. Saying that you want to breed these dogs... It sounds like you're close to forcing them to. Isn't that, in the human world, called rape?
The other people who have answered have said very valid points and I suggest you listen to most of them. Size is a huge thing when breeding, your little yorkie can't hope to survive anything that you're suggesting.
You also have to look at laws in your city. Breeding mice is one thing but dogs and cats have bylaws in place to make sure that overbreeding doesn't happen. Ever heard of a puppy mill? That's pretty much what you're planning to do. Most cities won't allow more than two or three dogs in a house hold. what you're suggesting is that you want to keep 12 or more puppies (not to mention the four that you've already got) in your house without even looking into the legal repricussions of your actions.
I highly suggest against breeding anything.
The last thing that your daughter needs is to see her parent add to the strays on the streets.
In short. Don't do it please? You'll hurt the dogs and hurt your daughter when the pups die or the mother dogs die. Just don't. If you want your daughter to learn the beautiful cycles of life, buy her some sea monkeys.
Sorry to sound harsh,
~Manda
Edit: To say again, I'm not trying to attack anything you've said but please don't breed the dogs. There's already too many unwanted pets out there. There is a chance that some of these pups won't get adopted. And to be honest, I've never heard of people paying upwards of $100 for a mongrel breed.
And with your lab, didn't the breeder ask you to sign a spay/neuter contract when you bought him?
And I'm also curious how you were able to buy all these dogs? They're not cheep to get, and keep. Just curious.

You're breeding four dogs together because you think it'll be fun? First you need to think about how many pups you're likely to get, and who'll take them off your hands. Is it going to be easy to find homes for 10+ animals quickly? You cannot keep that many dogs if you can't find a home for them, so they'll end up at the pound or euthanised if no one wants them. Also; is there a big size difference between the dogs? Can a little yorkie carry great dane or lab puppies? Can they give birth without veterinary treatment? Onto that, can you afford vaccinations, worming and health checks for 10+ pups? Have you got the space to have 10+ half/fully grown pups to run around? How stressful on the dogs is it going to be if you live in a small apartment or house? What messed up instincts and health problems might the puppies face due to their mixed breeding? Please at least seek the advice of your local vet before you breed the dogs.

I suggest you consult your vet.
The breeds you are talking about all have genetic defects that professional breeders try to prevent by selectively breeding only the animals that don't carry the disease.
If your pets were purchased from reputable breeders you can check their papers for health history. If not, don't breed.
You would not be creating a new breed. Just a new mutt. AKC only recognizes pure breeds. The popular designer/hybrid dogs like the kind you own are in their 3rd and 4th generations of professional, highly regulated breeding. That is if your dogs were purchased from a qualified professional breeder. If not they are mutts too. So you would be breeding mutts from mutts.
Whelping can dangerous and tragic especially if you don't know what you are doing. If you love your pets you wouldn't do this.
Is the risk worth $25. Max price for mutts from a garage.
As a side note, find a better way to teach your daughter about the facts of life. Humans are not dogs. A mother dog doesn't have to counsel her puppies not to make the same mistakes she made when she was 17 years old. Try to stop the cycle of teenage pregnancy. A litter of puppies does not replaced responsible active parenting.

HMMM...I didn't call you a teenage sl*t, but now that I know about your underage drinking I might. Or was it a pepsi that was drugged?
No wait you said "spiked". Somehow I find that even less credible. Your saying you couldn't taste the alcohol in your drink? Why didn't you pour it out? If it was not your kind of party why didn't you leave immediately?
I didn't say you made a mistake. My responses are based on the information you provided. If your being a teen mother wasn't important why did you include it? If you weren't trivializing the issue by calling it (reproduction, birth) "fun" maybe it would not be perceived in the way that it is.
I question your judgement because you think it is cute that a 7 year old has a boyfriend. I hope noone spikes her juice at Chuckie Cheese.
Do you really want your daughter to struggle trying to raise a kid?
If you had your wish would you wish that she can go to and graduate from college and get a good paying job?
Or would you wish she had a life just like yours, working two jobs and pimping out her dogs for extra cash?
***If you read my first response again you will see that I am only encouraging you to parent your child. You are very defensive.
You should put your child's needs first.
***************************************************
You know what? I'm going to stop here. You had me at "teached". You debate waaay too well for me to handle! You win!!
I'm over, I'm done. Talking to you is a waste of my time.
By the way, drinking age is 21 not 18. Where do you live? We know you don't live with your daughter unless you all are still living with mommy and daddy too, oh, sorry grandpa and grandma. They will do a good job with her because you turned out so well. You are such a prize. I bet they are really proud of you. You're just like a doctor...almost.
I will pray for your daughter. You are a lost cause.
Good bye. Expect no more responses from me.

I have 2 labs, but as mentioned before they are hunting dogs. Being a lab person, I can make the argument for them: They live longer. Danes only live to be around 6 because they are so big, labs live to be in their early to mid teens. They are GREAT with kids. I'm not saying Danes aren't, I don't know. I just know that labs are wonderful with kids of all ages. Labs are SMART. They are in the top ten smartest dog breeds. All of the dogs on the top 10 list only have to be shown something 6 or fewer times before they have learned it. Labs are water dogs. A big plus for us. They will swim anywhere they can. Our dogs sleep in the bed with us often. Not possible on a queen size bed with 21 danes. They are super cute, but most dogs are. The photo that should be next to my name is of my two kids, Daisy (the older one) and Ranger (the pup, now about a month older). Some of the downsides/thing to watch out for: Labs are water dogs. I know I mentioned it as a "pro" but it is probably a bad thing if you don;t want your dog to get wet ever. Labs are very food oriented. Can be a good thing when training them, but also a bad thing if they are not trained right about how to act around food. They will beg for scraps if they are rewarded for doing so, etc. Labs are hunting dogs. They will play fetch until their legs fall off. And they will find/flush out/retrieve anyhting that moves. Labs are prone to hip dysplagia. Danes are though too, it is a trait of most large breeds. Good health, rugs (not hardwood floors) and good genetics (not like a papered dog, just no genetic hip problems in the parents) and no inbreeding can minimize this risk though. I'm sure there are more. Everyone has an opinion. Research which breed will be best suited to your needs. There are great resources for this on the ASPCA, Animal Planet and AKC websites. Luck! :)

Your females are too small to carry puppies that carry genes from large breed dogs.
It's also physically impossible for your males to penetrate your females without seriously hurting, or even killing, them.
If you absolutely HAVE to breed them, then find someone that has a male Yorkipoo and a male Puggle to breed to the females you have. Ask them if they'll allow you to use their males for breeding purposes. Expect to pay a stud fee ($200+). At least then you're breeding puppies that are the same designer breeds as their parents, and the females won't have trouble with being bred or giving birth (assuming they are able to have a normal labor and delivery, which is never guaranteed; emergencies do happen).
I can't help but assume that your question is a joke meant to rile people.

If you don't know anything about breeding, you shouldn't be doing it. For a start, your labrador should be hip scored to make sure it doesn't have dysplasia and have it's eyes tested. Both bitches should be fully checked to ensure that they are fit to carry puppies and why are you mixing all these breeds without studying the breed standards to ensure that you are not introducing potential problems. Responsible breeders spend years weeding out health problems to create the best possible bloodline and ensure healthy dogs that do not suffer because of health problems. You make this sound like a canine version of My Little Pony. You shouldn't go any further without gettin a LOT of advice from the Kennel Club.

You can't even SPELL breed, never mind do it successfully. Breeding dogs with a size difference together will result in some very dead animals. They wouldn't survive the conception never mind the birth. It will kill the smaller dogs and traumatise your daughter and this is either a really rubbish attempt at trolling from someone with WAY too much time on their hands and no life to speak of whatsoever or you are actually that dim and I pray someone removes those animals and your child before you end up killing them through your own stupidity.

I am assuming that you are joking.
However, if you're not, I would check with the breeders you got your dogs from and your vet for advice if you decide to do this. Dog breeding is risky, expensive, and time-consuming.
You shouldn't count on being able to sell the puppies (even for $50, let alone $500), because you are not going to end up with purebred puppies or even purebred-cross puppies. Unfortunately, there is not a large market for dogs that are mixes of 3-4 different types of dogs (just take a walk around your local animal shelter). In fact, the local animal shelter might be where these puppies end up if you can't find homes for them.

i dont think that you are a 24 yr old with a kid and if you are i feel very srry for her... and if you do indeed have these dogs or any pets i think that you should have them taken away because you clearly have no feelings for them or the fact that we are over ran with dogs that no one wants now... and any smart person would know you cant breed a small female with such a large male because the puppies will be to big for her to have them it would probably kill all the pups and her... my advice to you is get a brain and stop bugging people about such stupid stuff. hey go to your vet and ask him the same questions and tell him how you feel about it and that you have no money to take care of the problem when she has one and hopefully he will turn you into spca and take your dogs from you

If you can imagine having sex with a horse, and then having multiple 25 pound children, that is what u will be putting your "babies" through. Not considering the nursing requirments that they will be going through. Look, you are not qualified for this and you WILL kill your dogs and the puppies.
