I'm in highschool and I like to play football and basketball and a few weeks ago I got a small cut on the bottom of my cheek near my jawline about 1/4 inch long. It has since closed up and is a pale white-colored scar that sort of stands out on my cocoa-colored skin. I'm kinda shy around girls so I can't really ask for their opinion about the scar. Occasionally a girl tells me I'm cute but I don't really know if they mean it...So I'm asking the ladies on here..would you be turned away by the scar on my cheek or scars in general?

I think it would take an extremely superficial girl to be turned away by scars, especially one that small. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you~ Try not to be so self-conscious about it. The more you worry over it, the more people will wonder if they should worry over it, too.

As you grow the scar will be less noticeable. If a girl tells you that you are cute it means that they like you silly. Don't be so self conscious. That's a pretty small scar and I'm the girls look at the whole picture not just the scar.

Of course NOT. You know why: it gives you a personal egde. Seriously. It says something about you: That you are not scared of taking risks in life (injures from a sport you like to play) Bth, your scar is only 1/4 inch long...well, all I can say is, when a girl says you are cute, she means it (and that includes the whole person of you because girls normally see a guy as a full package incl. personality and looks which we find cute or not).
So, do yourself a favor and forget about your scar. Everybody has small things they don't like about themselves but when you keep thinking about your tiny scar you will always be so self-absorbed with fear and thoughts about your scar that you can't open up to people and show them who you really are.

I like scars, they have a story to tell. You watch, soon a girl will say "oooh, how did you get that scar" and there is your chance to start a conversation.
If it really bothers you, try to remember its still very young and will fade a lot with time. There is a good product called Bio Oil you can get from a chemist, its cheap and it actually works to fade scars.

No, scars are natural everyone at least once in their lifetime will get a scar. I wouldn't worry about it tell girls how you got it and if you got it for a lame reason make up a better one you just might impress a girl.

Never ever would a scar make me turn from a man. You are you for who you are inside not out.

If someone doesn't like you because a scar, then you don't want her. I have a few scars on my stomach, but I call them my road to love. So, make it your road to lots of kisses. Good luck ~~~
