Of course its fair, everyone knows that bent banana's fly back and end up in the good bin with the others.
You should have stood on them till they were staright, then threw them away

There was recently eu regulation law passed that wanted to standardise on all food products, one of the regs was that all bananas should be straight. You are merely upholding the law and should approach the European Court of Human Rights for unfair dismissal.
Unless of course you're not european, in which case you're stuffed.

Yes of course it's fair. It must have been in your job description that you should keep the bent ones. CAn't believe you didn't read that.

If this is set out in the company guidelines that 'you must not throw away bent bananas' then sorry but no deal.... but if it is not then it could be unfair dismissal.

Contact a wrongful dismissal lawyer immediately. You can't be fired from a job if you were not properly trained. Sue the b*stards!!
