I'm very sorry about your mother. That's a tough place to be at such a young age. As for your writing, when you're having a rough time and things aren't working out, it doesn't do any good to push through it. You really should just put it away for awhile. Don't think about it or meditate on it. Just forget about it for awhile. You'll know how long. Maybe work on something else in the mean time. Some shorter pieces or some exercises. Buy a writing prompt book. Write five hundred words a day (which is not much at all). Then in a few weeks, pick up your draft again and read it from the beginning, You'll see things differently. Your mind will be freed up. You'll find your flow again.

Draft at and early age of 18 to the older age of 35(if single), but those at the ages of 18 - 20 should not be sent to the war front until their age of 21. Draft also women but not for combat unless they volunteer for combat duty.

18-25
The Selective Service System is the means by which the United States administers military conscription. It entails registering all men between the ages of 18 and 25 with the system for the purpose of having information available about potential soldiers in the event of war.

for the 999th time on Answers, a draft question.....
1) STOP asking about this!!!
2) Nobody wants it. Not in DC , not the people & not the Military.
3) Selective service covers all males from 18-26. You should filled out the card arround your 18th birthday as per law.
4) We have recruited 85,000 this year alone in the US ARMY. All services have met there goals.

God forbid the U.S.A. brings back the draft. I am a Vietnam Veteran.I watch boys fresh out of high school
dying to the left, right,in front of me,it was terrible.
I was 18 years old I made it back but over 58,000+.l
saw needless lost lives.I saw napalm bombs clearing out vegetation. I saw Massacres,of civilians, old people, babies,
it was totally crazy. Now we are in another Vietnam ,it is called Iraq.
