Microwave is by far the quickest, but baking it in the oven is far better tasting. A 400 degree oven for an hour , makes a great baked potato.

A microwave! In a 350 F oven, a baked potato will take about 45 min - 1 hr. In a microwave, depending on the wattage, you are
looking at about 6 - 10 min. Of course a potato from the nuke box isn't really baked at all, but cooked through excited water
molecules rubbing against each other.

You sounded like Dan Quayle there for a minute, potato has no 'e'. However, to cook a potato the fastest way, wrap it in tinfoil then put a metal skewer all the way through it lengthwise. take some copper wire and wrap one end around the skewer and connect the other end to one side of a nine volt battery. Do the same thing to the other side with another wire but don't connect it to the battery. What you do is wrap some electrical tape around your fingers and thumb and touch the other lead to the other side of the battery for about nine seconds and the potato has been cooked from the inside out. Learned that in science class 40 years ago and it still works.

if you put it in the microwave make sure not to put cover it in foil. You can probably cook it in the microwave for about 3-5 minutes. This is the quickest. Oven may take a while....

Microwave is the best......for a nice medium sized potatoe......about 3.5 mins on each side.....just place it on a paper towel first. Just turn out perfect!
A good 25 to 30 mins in the oven....make sure you pierce it with a fork first and turn it over half way thru....@ 375-400 degrees

Wash it, poke holes in it, microwave it on high heat. If the potato is hard inside, it's not done. If it's soft inside, it's done.

microwave. poke holes in it and cook it for five minutes. flip it over and cook for five more minutes and see if it is done. poke the holes, or it will explode.
Oven will take like 1-1.5 hours at 400 degrees
