When ID cards are introduced will illegal immigrants be issued with them?

At the current rate it will take decades to deport the number of illegals we already have. So unless we want people without any ID I guess they must have them issued.

As others unanimously said no card for illegals. By the way, no bus ride home. I say any illegals from the USA, UK and all colonies need to be put on one way plane rides to Afghanistan, Serbia, or Iraq. Let them figure out where to go from there.

No. The main point of the ID card scheme is that you will be able to prove you are legally allowed to reside in the UK. I have dealings with immigration in my job and there are many people who simply disappear and never report back to immigration to be deported (wonder why?!) At the minute, if these people are found again, it becomes hard for the authorities to deport them, because there is no national scheme to tell them who they are. An ID card scheme would show that this person was legal or not and if not he could quickly be forcibly deported.

If they are illegal - they have no 'ID' - so HOW can they get an 'ID' CARD?...

Actually it will probably generate a whole new "Black Market" (no pun intended) of illegals paying mega bucks to get an ID card that makes them APPEAR to be legal citizens!

I think that when you apply for an ID card you have to present some identification first, such as birth certificates, SSN, voters cards what ever, if you try to pass off a fraudulent one then they got you right where you should be.

An immigrant can't identify themselves so they can't get an ID card. So there's no point us getting one, cos we have to identify ourselves to get one. Get it? If we've already identified ourself, whats the point in an ID card?

They get called "asylum seekers" they get free cards while we pay for them. They then get free accommodation and benefits.

If we put them all back on planes or boats we would end up paying for them to be shipped off home just for more to come here.
