I think it's perfect. :) Your body fat is normal and plus I heard that electric scales are wrong AND the fact that our bodies gain body fat when we are about to start our period. Don't quote me on that though. :) But it's a good thing that you are trying to be healthier. Skinny doesn't always mean healthy, remember that.

Know if you need to lose weight

Health specialist use a measure called BMI, short for Body Mass Index. Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. This gives a good measure of your total body fat. BMI compares your height and weight. It shows if you are underweight, at a healthy weight, or overweight.

You know how many pounds are there in 1 kg. Do not know let me help you, it is 1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds. Check out what your BMI is by using the BMI calculator.

http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm

BMI Category
Below 18.5 Underweight
Between 18.5 - 24.9 Healthy Weight
Between 25 - 29.9 Overweight
Over 30 Obese

Look at the BMI chart to find out how much weight you need to lose to move from obese to overweight or from overweight into a healthy range. Knowing this can help you set a good weight loss goal.

You sound like a healthy person, 24% body fat is healthy even though it doesn't sound like it. You really shouldn't stress so much about weight if you are doing and eating things that keep you healthy. I find myself more attracted to girls who aren't extremely skinny, but girls who look healthy. If you want to know more about understanding body fat check out this link.

i dont think so im fourteen and have 24% body fat but that is only according to a scale which says that because according to the average girl who is 5 4 and weighs that much is usually that much body fat but you could really have more weight in muscle so i wouldnt say that

No you are fine. If you want to stay like that, do what you are doing now. If you want to lose weight then eat less. It takes time to lose it the right way and keep it off. I think you are fine the way you are, plus you are only 16 the way you are going its great.

20% is the ideal weight that you should be. I am guessing that you are around 145lbs. It isn't what you eat...it is how many calories you take in not the food. If you are self concious of your weight...don't be. You are taking a great step by exercising and keep living a healthy lifestyle. What you teach your body now will be a positive thing in your bodies future.

no women need a higher amount of body fat then you would think. 24% is normal. you are living healthy so don't worry about it

That's really good. Your body fat percentage is considered to be ideal, you are eating well and now that you are exercising, you are doing everything right. HTH : )

They say that at 5'5" your body fat should be below 25% so you are in the healthy range, but it is always better to exercise than not. look up bmi online and check for yourself!

If most people in your family are fat,you have to diet and exercise whole your life to keep your weight low.As soon as you stop exercise and dieting, your weight will go back to where it was.If you are the only person fat in the family, you have a chance to keep it low permanently.
