Sound like you popped the fuse for the constant power (memory) circuit. Open your hood and lift the lid off the fusebox by the battery and check the fuse labelled BACK-UP.

they're all incorrect.... all ninety 2 and up Civic EX kind are a million.6 unmarried over head with Vtec. the purely engine that say Vtec on authentic of the engine are optionally available. some have it, some do not. in the journey that your is a ninety 3 civic Ex, it tell me that your is a Civic EX Couple or a EX Sedan. The engine decision must be stamp on the block by the transmission. Its must have a stamp putting forward D16Y2 or what each and every series the motor is. don't be confuse, some have D16 yet are literally not Vtec. like the LX version. some low end kind which incorporates the CX, DX. are a D15 motor. some a million.5 do comprise Vtec yet not as a lot potential because the D16 vtec. both Civic EX and SI interest an similar engine. EX being a pair or a Sedan. SI purely are available in Hatchback. There different kind which incorporates the HX or the VX. both interest both a million.5 and a million.6 yet purely comprise a Vtec-E for monetary device this version isn't authentic Vtec. with somewhat of luck this help. and strong success on your EX..

I had a similar problem with a 01 Pontiac. I took it to the people I bought it from and they ran a wire from the fuse box to the back of the radio. Worked fine. I honestly don't know exactly which fuse, or where they connected it into the back of the radio (it's been about 3 years since I saw this), and didn't do it myself. Sorry.

I hope something in here helps...

Maybe since it's older the battery doesn't have enough power for a CD-Player
