1. Wait awhile and watch it, understand it's personality, give it a name that suits it. 2. Look at it and see what it looks like. It might look like a Bob or a Tiger. 3. Maybe it reminds you of something else, and then you can name it after that something. When I got my cat I thought she looked like an elf, so I named her after the female elf on Lord Of The Rings. When I got my other cat I thought he looked a lot like a house elf, so I named him after the male house elf on Harry Potter. 4. Just go crazy. My friend once named her cat moonshine.

um it really depends on the type of dog that you have..... like if you named a poodle THOR or BEAR it makes no sense.
If its a big dog name it comet, bear, etc. If its a small dog go for casper or maxwell or something like that. Most people prefer human names or you could do what i do.... NAME THEM AFTER TRANSFORMERS!!!(megatron, optimus, etc)

I have always wanted to name my dog snoopy but when you have a 6 year old there is no way your gonna name it what you want. So i have demon and diamond. Good names for dogs but go with how the personailty is with the puppy.
