Go to tattoojohnny.com it has alot of ideas for cool tattoos. This is where my friend found the design for hers. You can print out the one you like and take it w/ you.
You can pick from what you're looking for as far as colored, small, large, or put in what you want if you have some idea of what you're wanting. It shows all the designs on what type of tattoo you want.

Get something that means something TO YOU. Don't go to the shop and look for a flash tattoo. Get something custom and really sit with your decision for about a month or two before you get it. I know you realize it's permanent, but keep in mind a good tattoo is never cheap and a cheap tattoo is never good. Research a couple different shops in your area and find the best artist you can. Beware of shops that have "bargain deals" on their tats....Good Luck!

Make a list of things that embody your tastes and likes and take that to a tattoo artist and let them help you decide, tattoo artists are like any other artist they like to be creative...dont be trendy be original, because after all you will wear it for life. Be cautious where you put it, no bride looks nice on their wedding day with a screaming tattoo on their arm or professional at a meeting with one up the side of her leg.

Go to a local, respectable, tattoo artist. Talk to him/her about what you would like. The artist can draw a pic for you of what you want. That's how I did 2 of my 3.

A cool tattoo would be a rose just above the back or on ur leg.

i think like a butterfly on the lower back would be cool, or like a neat design.

I am into dragons so I would go with that but make it pretty by adding wings or flowers

i would say have something that stands out and not a lot of people have as you will get the wow factor when they love your tattoo
