yes, you can freeze it before rising. I've been a professional baker before and used to freeze bread doughs plenty of times. Its called retarding the dough and works really well good luck. Just let it thaw in the fridge completley before using

I freeze take and bake pizzas from Papa Murphys all the time. They come out great. If I was making dough from scratch, I think I would be better off freezing it after it has risen.

Oh yeah, I do it all the time -- even after it's finished rising. Just make sure it's completely thawed before you use.
