Is she bottle fed? Could be a 'bruise' from sucking. My son got one on his top lip.

I know it is really worrying when something like this happens. I was convinced my wee boy was developing a rare and terrible disease and would be afflicted for the rest of his life by this "growth" on his face.
I took him to the doctor - because I needed to know the truth - and it was just a wee blood blister caused by either sucking or falling or chewing on his lip, possibly even from too vigerous rubbing by his wee fists.
It actually stayed quite a long time - but went away and he is as handsome as ever now. And he has grown to age 12 without ever having it again.
I hope the fact that so many other parents have had the same experience with their babies reassures you but if not - go see your doc tomorrow - they don't mind.
Good luck

My babies had this quite a few times. It is just a small reaction where she sucked too hard and caused the blood to rush to the surface, kind of like a bruise.... hope this helps.

Could be a strawberry birth-mark, most birth-marks come out after birth, take her to your GP he'll send her to a dermatologyst who will be able to tell you if it's going to fade or grow more noticeable, don't worry though, if it is a birth mark there's a lot they can do to get rid of it.

hi mom,
it doesn't matter if it is getting worse or not take your baby to the doctor, ask the doctor what it is so your minds will be eased.

It probably is a bruise, she may have just hit her mouth.

Don't panic, you don't give her age, could she have bitten her lip or been stung?
