How can I determine if my pup was a boy or a girl? Thanks

First of all, male puppies will have a penis and urinate from it (on the underside of their belly). Females will urinate from their urethra which is just under their rectum. The easiest way to tell a male from a female puppy is to check their anatomy or watch where the urine comes out.

You'll just have to check their, uh, apparatus. Dogs have the same genitals as all mammals, although they look different.
Male puppies will have a long prepuce (foreskin) which unlike humans is attached to the abdominal wall - it looks like a long tube ending in a tuft of hair near the belly button. Testes ('balls') may or may not be descended in young puppies, so there may or may not be a visible scrotum.
Females do not have a penis but may have an enlarged vulva; this may be mistaken for a short triangular penis by those not familiar with it. The vaginal opening might not be readily visible, especially in small puppies, but the absence of a long prepuce should be sufficient to identify them.

Watch your puppy when it goes to pee. If the pee comes out under it's tummy, it's a boy. If it comes out behind it's back legs, it's a girl. No need to look for different parts.

You are joking; I hope. If it has a piece of flesh sticking out from its abdomen at the bottom then it is a boy if is has not got any extra flesh at the bottom it's a girl

Look under the tail. If it has balls, it's a boy, if not, a girl.
