Your WAIST will benefit most from activities that involve twisting from side to side.
Salsa Dancing, Hula Hooping, Walking with a Mae West 'wiggle', and using a Rotator Disc (turntable you stand on; the one for putting the telly on works just as well) all activate the muscles that keep your waist tuned and balanced.
CAPOEIRA is also good for waist-work, but it can be a bit hardcore to start on; try using the others as preparation.

well i do the same thing as you. you should try to do more situps and crunches.try to do like 250 crunches straight and 100 situps straight. then tell me if you want to try any other stomach toning "exersizes". you can do oblique bends too. you hold weights in your hand, hands down, palms on the side of your thighs. now bend sideways and then bend the other way. keep on bending and pretty soon you will feel it.

Do squarts. Try doing 2 sets 50. Morning aftertoon and evenings. This will not only build your lungs power, which eventually builds up your core, and will give your stomach a good work out.

Laying on your pack, bring you legs up in the air and cross them at you ankles. Lay your hands behind your head with you elbows out. Make sure you are looking at the ceiling. lift your legs up so that your butt goes up too, it is kind of like a rocking motion. You head stays down for this excercise and it should owrk your lower abs.

The best one I've seen was shown to me by an aikido trainer. You lie on your back and you have a partner with you.You raise your feet with legs as straight as possible up in the air to the highest point you can reach.
Then your partner grabs you feet and throws them as strongly as she or he can down to the ground. You have to bounce back. Then you get them to start throwing your feet to the sides as well and you have to bounce back. It's weird, but amazingly invigorating and good fun.
Might help if you hold on to your partners feet above your shoulders or have your arms spread wide.

lay on ur back... pick up your feet about a foot off the floor and your head and shoulders the same amount....make sure your stomack is flat ( or close to it... other wise all your extra fat will make a big pouch at the bottom of your stomack eww...) and hold about 30 seconds... if you cant hold it that long gradually work up to it... if you can hold lo9nger go for it and remember to breathe ( i usually forget)

Pilates are really good plus really relaxing and easy! I know a lot of people who do belly dancing and say it's really good to tone the stomach.
But, like you, I do crunches!
