My name is kim and I am 15 years old.Let me explain.I just got out of placement, I was there for nine months, and I come home expecting things to be all better, but now they are worse.I just want to get away from things. All I ever hear is yelling and screaming.
like today, my dad was mad and he punched my door in so hard that my wall is all split in half!I know that my parents love me, i love them too, but how do I explain to them that I can't live like this anymore?I feel so lost, like no one understands. Thanks

I am so sorry, that you need to experience such violent emotions. I am glad that you are aware that your parents love you. And that is important, it seems that your Dad is unable to control his emotions, and ends up damaging the house. I understand that yelling and screaming is difficult to deal with. I do not know just how, but there is a need in your family to sit down and discuss things, with each other, in a peaceful and calm man-er, and that would be best done with someone professional being there to moderate, this family meeting. Kim I do not know just what placement is, and if you are in school could you talk to a counselor? If you go to church to your minister or priest?

If you just got out of placement that means you should still have some contact with a caseworker, right? You can reach out to them or a counselor at school, maybe a close relative? Doesn't sound like your parents would be able to have a calm conversation with you. You sound mature, I think that you can find the right resources, but you definitely can't live like that. I hope you know that you did not cause any of your parents irrational behavior...

I suggest talking to them when things are calm, if they ever are.....Maybe being with them isn't the best thing for you, and it might be a good idea to involve OCS again, tell them your dilemma, maybe they know of ways to help out without removing you, like anger management for your dad or something....GL;)
