I think you should come up with a compromise. Do something he likes one week the next do something you like. My boyfriend and I use this method and it works quite nicely.

Is he depressed, shy, or just a cheapskate?
Try and encourage him to do small outings, so that you can spend time together outside the house, like an afternoon in the park. Not everyone enjoys the club/bar scene, you may just have to learn to live with the fact he won't want to go to those types of places. If it's a huge deal to you, then it might be a relationship killer.

sounds like you should really find a guy that has the same interest that you do..
was glad to hear that you said you just care about him it will be easier for you to go on and look for someone new that will love doing the same things that you like to do..
If the two of you don't have some of the same interest a partnership will never work between you.. so stop trying to deal with him dump him and find the right guy..

My boyfriend doesn't like to go out but he knows I do. We have an understanding that if I want to go out then I will. He is always invited but the first time he gets mad then we will have a lot to talk about it.
If your man is ok with you going out then go out. If he has a problem with it then you guys need to come to a compromise (if you want to stay with him) otherwise dump him.

make him! It's not like he's going to die or something just because you want to have fun with him. maybe you should make a deal, you do what he wants one night and then he does what you like the next night.

date night, make like saturday a day when u go out, maybe more than one date night and make it elaborate... h*ll every other night if u want, just try to find a number of dayz that ur both comfortable with
