I looked good. but then I started doing weights and I gained about 10 pounds and i was 135 and I looked really fit and I'd love to look like that again, This is before I had my second child. I have a 20 month old now and i need to lose about 10 pounds mostly around my belly and saddle bags..what shall I do? more of cardio first to get rid of the fat? then weights?

wow a second child @ 41-42 yrs old. congradulations you are brave. cardio is probably the most effective in getting rid of fat. However the more muscle mass you have the more resting energy you have. Also might want to throw in some abs since that is the area you want to work on.

Lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks??

There are some websites on the Internet, which promise you that you are going to lose 10 pounds in every 2 weeks. If you are good in math you will find that keeping these stats in mind, 260 pounds in a year. Losing 260 pounds is the figure, which is unbelievable and unexpected.

This kind of claims are planned just to cause clients to make impulsive decisions. When you gain weight, did you gained around 50 minds in two months? Certainly not. We gain weight in weight in small parts, which add up to our weight. This keeps on increasing with time.

I think you get what I mean to say. We normally gain weight in grams like 65 gram per week. With this stat you are going to gain around 7 pounds at the end of year.

This weight is so slow that you cannot measure it weekly. But in fur years you are going to gain around 28 pounds.

So how can you expect this weight to go in few days? You are going to lose the way you have gained it. So it will take time to lose weight. So you have to start losing weight systematically. You can lose weight by developing the good eating habits in you and nutritious foods.

I doubt you look that fat now if you weigh 125 lbs. Keep in mind fat doesn't weigh nearly as much as muscle so ten pounds of fat can go a long way. I'd say ten pounds on someone 5'0 tall is going to be noticeable, how noticeable depends on lots of things like where you lose it from, how much muscle you have, and you're overall build.

Glad you are exercising regularly you could do more ab scrunchies and use the diet Hollywood stars use when they desire to shed pounds quickly----it's a simple cabbage soup diet but in your case you need to supplement it with good lean protein....and yes------cardiovascular workout will help all the way around.
here's one version of the diet dont stick solely to it since you will need some protein----this diet is only now recommened for a week.
1 head cabbage, shredded or chopped
2 large onions, chopped
16-28 ounces canned tomatoes, chopped
2 green peppers
4 stalks celery
1-2 packages Lipton onion soup mix, or any dry onion soup mix (optional)
black pepper
any fresh herb(s) of your choice, chopped
6 carrots, sliced
1/2 pound green beans, sliced on diagonal
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (optional)
Put all vegetables in a big pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, stir in the soup mix (if desired), and boil gently for 10 minutes. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Stir in the black pepper and chopped herbs (saving some for garnish).
Eat as much of the soup as you like, as often as you like. Drink as much water as you like and non-caloric drinks including coffee, tea, and herbal teas.
