I assume you've been properly diagnosed and under the care of an oncologist - if you havent then thats the first step. Its not easy and dont let anyone tell you it is - you'll have good days and bad but try as hard as you can to stay positive and dont take no for an answer - research as much as possible, ask everything you want of your oncology team - they do understand and will help you. Fight like you've never fought before and listen to those around you - if you're having treatment then stay away from infection - especially at this time of year - dont be afraid to tell people with a cold etc to leave or not visit. Believe you can beat it and you will. Also dont put up will shoddy care - if you feel something isnt right - shout until it gets put right. My friend had 2 courses of Chemo, Radiotherapy and finally stem cell replacement - twice. Chemo wasnt bad - lost his hair and was sick, Radiotherapy was okay but made him tired - stem cell was the hardest coz it takes your immune system to zero first and you get very sick before the cure. You must ask and understand all thats going to happen so you can prepare yourself. You can do it - Good luck love xxx

If you have been properly diagnosed and staged for Hodgkins lymphoma ,and are under the care of an oncology Dr. There is a very good chance you will be cured by a course of intensive chemotherapy. Its not fun but not as bad as you might think.I know several people who have made a good and long term recovery from Hodgkins. My son had a stage 3 non Hodgkins lymphoma when he was four.He is now 11 and doing well.cancerbackup and cancer research have some great websites.

Hodgkin lymphoma is a localized or disseminated malignant proliferation of cells of the lymphoreticular system, primarily involving lymph node tissue, spleen, liver, and bone marrow. Symptoms include painless lymphadenopathy, sometimes with fever, night sweats, unintentional weight loss, pruritus, splenomegaly, and hepatomegaly. Diagnosis is based on lymph node biopsy. Treatment is curative in about 75% of cases and consists of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
Please see the webpages for more details on Hodgkin's lymphoma.

You need to get as much information about YOUR cancer as you can. Go to the websites for Cancerbacup and Macmillan Cancer Care.
Talk to the Health professionals you meet. Take a friend and a notebook. Make extensive notes of everything you are told and of any questions you want to ask next time.

i have read up on alot of people overcoming dieases (cancer and others) through alternative medicines...its worth checking out but be prepared to have enough willpower to detox yourself and eat healthily etc...lance armstrong is an example...i firmly believe in alternative medicine although this does not mean i dont get checked out by my doctor as well as my homeopath!
Good luck and be positive as you can....because remember 'like treats like' (the basis of homeopathy)
